That's why, we’re proud to announce our partnership with the 'Make Happy Tummies' (formerly Toonies for Tummies) charity under The Grocery Foundation to help feed healthy breakfast to students across Canada! 🇨🇦   Throughout September, for every stack of pancakes sold at any Stacked Pancake and Breakfast House location, $2 will be donated to support the Student Nutrition Program in their local community, with 100% of the proceeds going to the charity. In the spirit of giving back to the neighbourhoods that have supported us for years, we've also launched specialty pancakes to encourage more orders and thus feed more students in each community. From Humble Beginnings to National Success: The Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House Story 🍽️ Our journey began in the early 1980s with the Country Kettle Family Restaurant in Barrie, Ontario. Founded by Terry Taylor, this beloved spot was the go-to for breakfast and lunch. In 1987, the restaurant found new life when it was sold to Ravi & Rekha Narang, who later partnered with the Mehra family, which ultimately would lead to a legacy of excellence in the breakfast scene.   After 30 years of success, the family decided it was time to pass the torch to Manish Mehra, one of the sons, who envisioned taking his family's restaurant to new heights. He saw an opportunity to bridge the gap between breakfast diners and pancake houses in Canada.   In 2016, he opened the first Canadian Pancake House - Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House, and its transition and growth have been nothing short of extraordinary. From a single rebranded location of his family’s restaurant in 2016 to opening our first franchised location in Orangeville, Ontario, on August 28, 2018, our growth has been unstoppable. This remarkable expansion began with three stores in 2018 and quickly gained momentum, adding 25 stores by 2022, including our first location in Alberta. The pace quickened in 2023 with 28 additional locations, and 2024 has already seen the addition of 29 locations by Q3, including our first ventures into British Columbia and New Brunswick. As we move forward, this year will be our most significant yet, with plans to open a new store every week for the remainder of 2024.   Within just six years, Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House has rapidly grown to over 90 locations across Canada, with plans to open more than 50 additional locations by 2025.   We believe in more than just serving delicious meals and are committed to becoming integral to every community we join. Whether it’s through local employment of at least 20 people at each franchised location, partnerships with nearby schools for charity with the Toonies for Tummies campaign, or supporting local initiatives, we strive to make a positive impact wherever we go. We’re dedicated to giving back to the communities that have welcomed us with open arms, and we're honoured to be part of their daily lives.    We’re grateful for the unwavering support from our corporate team, franchisees, and most of all, our guests, who make Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House a truly Canadian breakfast & lunch staple.   Special thanks to Ravi & Rekha Narang who are not with us today but played an integral role in the success of the Stacked brand with the teachings of leadership and mentorship to the Mehra family!
