  • This National Human Trafficking Awareness Day on February 22nd, we’re honoured to advocate alongside Victim Services Toronto (VST) to raise awareness of its national Reclaim program.     Working with leading Canadian financial institutions, TD Bank and Canadian Bankers Association, VST’s Reclaim program helps human trafficking survivors clear fraudulent or coercive debt accrued during exploitation. These debts average up to $20,000, and prevent survivors from securing housing, car loans and more, leading them back to their traffickers.    We are urging more Canadian businesses and other financial institutions to recognize the significant impact of fraudulent or coercive debt on victims, and learn how to support survivors’ financial futures.
