Build the future of rural medicine with us.
About us
The Sundre Hospital Futures Committee was formed in 2010 by community volunteers looking to find innovative solutions to improving healthcare. Initially, we addressed the challenge of recruiting and retaining medical practitioners for Sundre but quickly realized that much more could be done to enhance rural healthcare both in our community and across the province. We have successfully invested more than $1 million dollars in medical technology, training equipment and facility upgrades in Sundre. Ultimately, our mission is to construct a rural health campus on land procured north of Sundre, which we not only view as a vital step in meeting the growing health needs of the community but as an opportunity to act as an incubator for innovative rural healthcare delivery across the province.

Our second capital campaign purchased a portable #xray machine for the Myron Thompson Health Centre (a generous local couple stepped up to cover the entire cost). This machine allows our care team to work from within the ER, no longer having to transfer patients to this x-ray room. This makes a measurable impact on patient care, specifically when dealing with trauma. Our new capital campaign will purchase vital care equipment to improve care for seniors in our community, check out the full details on our website. #Technology plays a key role in improving #ruralhealthcare. Help us build the future of rural medicine in Sundre!
