About us

Support Black Charities (SBC) is a Canadian-based registered nonprofit (BN 724509732) based in Toronto-Ontario but working nationally across Canada and internationally. Our mission is to increase online visibility, boost charitable giving, and provide essential resources to Black-led, Black Serving, and Black focus – B3 organizations (including charities, nonprofits, NGOs, NPOs, SPOs, community-based, grassroots, civil societies, etc.). How? We’ve built an online platform including a vetted online directory that connects supporters to B3 organizations all over the world. We are committed to assisting Black organizations to become sustainable, self-sufficient, and empowered to create generational impact for years to come within the whole Black Ecosystem. For this, we have established a resource hub while offering essential services to nonprofit leaders and their teams through our programs. Our inception was inspired by the impactful "Support Black Businesses" movement, which empowered Black individuals to support Black-owned businesses, reinvesting in their communities and fostering socio-economic progress. To continue this positive impact and uplift the Black community, we advocate for the "Support Black Charities" movement. Some of our programs include: • Online Vetted Directory • Business Development Assessment for Nonprofits • Global Black Philanthropy Initiative - GBPI • SBC Academy – coming soon • Hear Their Stories – coming soon SBC gladly accepts your generous donations to sustain growth and scale effectively. It is currently led by a dedicated, passionate group of visionaries who gladly volunteer their time to make an impact within the Global Black community. With a combined "100 years of experience" in a variety of sectors, they enthusiastically lend their talents to the nonprofit sector.
