Sing Tao A1 Chinese Radio, in collaboration with the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation, will be holding the annual fundraising day on October 17th. This year’s goal is to help raise funds for the purchase of 15 brand-new maternity beds for Markham Stouffville Hospital. A1 program hosts recently visited the #MarkhamFireDepartment and held a “tug-of-war competition” with the firefighters! From now until 4pm on October 17th, just donate a minimum of $25 online and guess whether the “Team Markham Fire” or “Team A1 Radio” will win the tug-of-war competition! 🐾 A pet-tacular day of fundraising! We are grateful to the over 100 community members and furry friends who turned out to support the inaugural Pet Lovers Charity Walk benefiting Oak Valley Health’s Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH). Hosted by Regional Councillor Alan Ho and his team, attendees enjoyed a beautiful scenic walk with their pets around Toogood Pond Park in Unionville. Thanks to the support of all the sponsors and everyone in attendance, over $37,000 was raised to support patient care at MSH. A special thanks as well to Ginny Chung and Donna Chan for their dedication to making this event an incredible success!

We’re incredibly grateful to Sara Sterling, a dedicated patient, and her amazing friends for their unwavering commitment to helping women and girls in need! This year marked the 10th anniversary their Golf Carte Blanche tournament at Angus Glen, where guests enjoyed an evening of golf followed by a lively cocktail party featuring special guests Dr. Crystal Pallister and Mayor Frank Scarpitti. Thanks to incredible support from the committee, sponsors, families, and friends, over $23,000 was raised for the Gale & Graham Wright Breast Health Centre at Oak Valley Health's Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH). Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in the lives of thousands of women in our community!

Earlier this week, Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH) Foundation and Oak Valley Health proudly announced and unveiled the Antonio & Lucia Scarpitti Waiting Room in the Centre for Diagnostic Services at MSH in recognition of a $1 million contribution from The Frank Scarpitti Charitable Foundation made during the hospital’s $50 million We’re Growing. Together. Expansion Campaign. In addition, to pay tribute to Mayor Frank Scarpitti’s vision and extraordinary leadership during the hospital’s first redevelopment project, as well as his ongoing commitment to the health and well-being of the community, we also unveiled The Frank Scarpitti Link, the bridge that unifies Cornell Community Centre and the hospital. 💙

Proud to celebrate some special Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation people today. Coleen comes in smiling every week so willing to help. She’s been an outstanding volunteer for 20 years and is such an important part of our MSH family and Kelly L. achieved the amazing milestone of 10 years. Kelly is a ray of sunshine in the office, an incredible champion for teamwork, and says she wouldn’t trade in the delightful chaos we create together for anything! Thank you both for letting us celebrate you.
