We're thrilled to announce the 12 inspiring speakers for TEDxSurrey 2025! Beverley Elliot Beverley has been a professional film, television, and theatre actress for 40 years. She believes that turning our lives into stories with humor and grace connects us with others, creating a feeling of belonging. Erez Avramov Nicknamed “the man who refuses to die,” Erez’s life story represents the essence of resiliency and what’s possible when we consciously cultivate resilience in ourselves and each other. Gabriella Lester Gabriella found her passion for magic early and has been pursuing it for nearly 10 years despite a life-changing personal tragedy. Last year, she performed in nearly 500 shows and was featured in the New York Times. Janna Wale Janna is an Indigenous youth with several accolades for her work on climate resilience within Indigenous communities. She works with the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions. Michelle Cameron Coulter Michelle won an Olympic Gold medal in synchronized swimming in 1988. She has lived through the relentless pursuit of perfection and now inspires others to let go of perfection to thrive with more fulfillment and joy. Mischa Oak Mischa advises large organizations and projects on developing and implementing plans to foster LGBTQ+ well-being, anti-discrimination, diversity, and inclusion. Morten Rand-Hendriksen Morten Rand-Hendriksen is a world-renowned technology educator, specializing in AI, emerging technologies, tech ethics, and the intersection between technology and humanity. He loves to dance with is wife and build LEGO with their son. Rhona Segarra Rhona is an ordained minister who believes people crave the community of church without the dogma of church. She wants to equip people with tools found in religious communities to create belonging in their secular communities. Shannon Pearson Shannon is a certified mediator trained to intervene in and de-escalate conflicts. She believes that when we approach conflict with curiosity, we shift from a win-lose mindset to collaboration and problem-solving. Simran Garcha Simran is a recent graduate from the Surrey School District. She is speaking out for the countless children whose cries are silenced and whose voices are drowned out by the violence in their homes. Suzanne Jabour Suzanne is a Certified Grief Educator who inspires change in how we respond to grief. She believes that grief is feared in our society and that the right education can drive profound change. Vaclav Vincalek Vaclav is a technology professional working with AI. Many AI presentations focus on what AI can do for you.
