Symtech is proud to announce our role as the Electrical contractor for the second phase of the Scotiabank Arena Reimagination project! Last year, MLSE (Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Partnership) revealed this $350 million multi-phased project to enhance every corner of the arena. The second phase started this May, focusing on upgrades to the 100 Level concourse and the introduction of a new luxury club space. We look forward to bringing the arena’s new vision to life in cooperation with MLSE (Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Partnership), PCL Construction, Mulvey & Banani, & BBB Architects! Symtech will supply and install all electrical systems, including power distribution, emergency power, lighting, etc., as well as all communication systems, audio-visuals, and a security system. Story of Team Symtech #12 Meet Joseph Shen, our Foreman Electrician, whose journey is nothing short of inspiring! Originally from China, Joseph moved to Canada with his parents at the age of 12, bravely navigating the challenges of a new country. His journey into the skilled trade began during high school when a job conference opened his eyes to the possibilities of trade school. Despite exploring various career paths, it was electrical work that captured Joseph's passion and aligned perfectly with his interests. In an industry where Asians are rare, Joseph's decision to pursue this path is a testament to his courage and dedication. Since joining Symtech half a year ago, he has already made a significant impact on his first project, The Rhodes. For the future, he is committed to gaining experience across diverse projects and overcoming different challenges, viewing each as a stepping stone to his professional growth.
