Please join the Chamber's Board of Directors and staff in expressing our sincere gratitude for Jason Thompson’s exceptional service on the Board of Directors over the past 8 years. Jason's dedication and commitment have been extraordinary. As a passionate advocate for inclusion, he has driven the Chamber's efforts to enhance our policies and to educate and inspire our Members by highlighting reconciliation practices. We have greatly benefited from his leadership as the 2023 Chair of the Board and as an active participant in the Anti-Racism & Inclusion Committee, the Executive Committee, the Policy & Advocacy Committee and the Prosperity Northwest Conference taskforce. Thank you Jason! Your expertise, passion and unwavering support have profoundly impacted the Chamber's growth and success.

We’re supporting Canadian small and medium-sized businesses (SME) in adopting artificial intelligence (AI)! Today, the Government of Canada launched two new programs to help SMEs implement AI technologies, boosting productivity and innovation: • The Regional Artificial Intelligence Initiative (RAII) will help SMEs and organizations in key regional sectors adopt AI and bring new technologies to market. • The AI Assist Program will support Canadian SMEs that are building or incorporating generative AI and deep learning solutions into their core activities. These programs—part of the package of initiatives announced in Budget 2024—will be key drivers of AI adoption, ensuring Canadian businesses remain competitive on the global stage.
