New self-service kiosks in RVH’s Emergency Department are improving the patient experience! This technology makes checking in faster and more efficient, gives triage nurses real-time data to better prioritize patients, integrates with patient electronic medical records, and adds a new layer of patient privacy.

At RVH's 7th Annual IGNITE Applied Health Research Conference, we welcomed 175 attendees, including researchers, clinicians and innovators from across the province. With 9 speakers and 22 poster abstracts from over 12 academic and healthcare organizations across the province, the conference highlighted the growing importance of conducting applied health research to improve the day-to-day experiences of both patients and healthcare providers alike. A very special thank you to guest speaker Dr. Robert Reid from the Institute for Better Health at Trillium Health Partners. Thank you to all who attended in person or online. RVH observes World Mental Health Day to increase awareness of mental health issues and support, with this year's theme focusing on the mental wellbeing in workplace. Over the past week, members of Team RVH took part in activities such as mini massages, pet therapy, sound bath meditation and more.
