While on a volunteer trip to West Baltimore with Chris, Jake starts up a conversation with a friendly and candid local named Don. 🗣 The two talked at length about the current status of the West Baltimore neighborhood and the volunteer efforts that were taking place that week. When asked how he felt about seeing all of the new faces that had descended on the neighborhood, he had this to say: #WestBaltimore #CommunityResilience #RestorativeJustice #SystemicInequity #VolunteerImpact #BelongingMatters #SocialChange #HousingEquity #BridgingDivides #NeighborhoodRevitalization #TransformativeExperiences #RelinquishedRedlining #EmpathyInAction #CollectiveHealing #AgencyAndOwnership #ProximitySparksChange #BreakingBarriers #RestoringDignity #ImaginingEquity #CompassionateAction

Two longtime friends – one black, one white, both men, and both Canadian – explore what it means to live inclusively.
About us
Two longtime friends – one black, one white, both men, and both Canadian – explore what it looks like to adopt the mindset of an inclusive society. Instead of asking, ”How do we get there?”, Jake and Chris discuss what does it look like to act as if we’re there already. In each episode, Chris and Jake dissect big concepts like #race #class #gender, and #equity from the perspective of two professionals working in the world of DEI. Chris and Jake use stories and anecdotes from their own lives to help contextualize the conversations they share. Along the way, the guys learn that doing better isn't always easy, and that embracing discomfort can be the first step towards transforming your perspective. So, if you're also on the path to equitable and inclusive thinking, join us for a new conversation every second week, starting Wednesday, May 10. Download wherever you find your #podcasts !
