🚨 A GENERATION AT RISK: The State of Youth Mental Health in Canada 🚨 Key facts reveal a troubling reality: Nearly 3 in 5 youth aren't receiving the help they need, despite lower mental health indicators than other age groups. Approximately 1.25 million youth require mental health support each year. Suicid3 is the second leading cause of death among young people, accounting for 21% of deaths. In 2023, 24% of youth reported suicidal ideation, with 8% planning attempts. Excessive screen time (6+ hours daily) significantly increases anxiety, depression, and suicid@l thoughts among youth.
