Around 48 million couples and 186 million individuals around the world live with infertility (WHO). ⠀ Today is #WorldFertilityDay 🧡 Infertility can feel like the most devastating, heartbreaking, misunderstood disease to experience. With 1 in 6 struggling with fertility issues, it's important to highlight these numbers and let others know they aren't alone. We must continue this conversation year-round to raise awareness, educate, and reduce the stigma surrounding infertility. Remember, infertility is not your fault. You did nothing to deserve this, and you have a community of people right here who understand how hard this season is... lean on them. To those in the wait, we see you. What do you wish others knew about infertility?

October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. Today, we honor and remember the babies who were gone too soon. At 7 p.m. local time, we join together in lighting a candle to show our support and solidarity for all those who have experienced the heartbreak of pregnancy and infant loss. Together, we can change the way we talk about pregnancy loss. We can create spaces where it’s okay to share, where we can support each other without judgment, where we can honor all the babies we’ve loved and lost. Let’s break the silence, end the stigma, and make sure no one ever feels alone in their grief. Let this day also be a reminder that you are not alone. 🤍 #waveoflight #1in4 #pregnancyloss

Mental health is health. When it comes to infertility, a lot of the focus seems to be on physical well-being, leaving mental health out of the conversation. The statistics around mental health and infertility are startling: • 76% of infertility patients experience anxiety • 56% of infertility patients experience depression • 39% of infertility patients meet the criteria for major depressive disorder • 9.4% of infertility patients report suicidal thoughts or attempts (National Library of Medicine (NLM)) Fertility patients everywhere are struggling and there is little to no support for them. This needs to change. #worldmentalhealthday #infertility #1in6

September is PCOS Awareness Month, and we’re sharing what you need to know. 🧠 PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) affects 1 in 10 women, yet many suffer in silence due to a lack of awareness and understanding. Symptoms like irregular periods, weight gain, and acne can be mistaken for other issues, leading to delays in diagnosis and treatment. Did you know that PCOS can impact fertility, too? Hormonal imbalances caused by PCOS can lead to irregular menstrual cycles and anovulation, which is when an egg doesn't release from an ovary, causing infertility. This month, we’re advocating for increased education and support for PCOS. Breaking the silence around women’s health issues is crucial for creating a supportive environment. Education is key 🗝 to empowering women to advocate for themselves and seek the care they need. By spreading awareness and fostering open conversations, we can help women get the answers and support they deserve. Together, let’s work to improve the quality of life for those affected by PCOS. #PCOS #PCOSAwareness
