Dave and Deb founded The Planet D after cycling the continent of Africa in 2008. They’ve been inspiring adventure in everyone through 110 countries on 7 continents for more than a decade. Forbes magazine named The Planet D one of the Top 10 Travels Influencers in the world. And they’ve won numerous photography and blogging awards including back-to-back gold medals for best travel blog at both the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) and the North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA). Their photography and storytelling have featured by National Geographic, BBC World, Red Bull, Martha Stewart and Mashable. They have appeared on Canada's National News Station for their weekly travel segment and been featured in such publications as BBC Travel, AOL Travel, National Geographic's Intelligent Traveler and Fox News. The Planet D works regularly as influencers with brands and destinations and are currently on the digital influencer advisory board for Visit California.
