The Thoughtful Co. supports women in negotiating their compensation, and advises employers on improving gender equity in the workplace. Details on our services: 1. We are compensation experts. All negotiation coaching services are led by the former leader of Executive Compensation at Lululemon. Using our team's deep expertise in compensation, we empower women to feel confident in asking for the compensation they deserve. Compensation includes salary, stock options, RSUs, bonuses, benefits, vacation, severance, RRSP/401Ks, non-competes, allowances, parental leave and more. We help our clients achieve a +25% higher compensation package than their current on average, and have worked with women across Canada, the US and the UK. 2. We advise companies on retention, policy and governance, informed by research. We help employers implement practices that retain and engage women over the long-term, and set up governance structures to support these practices. Our goal is to create structures that allow women to thrive over their full career. We compliment your company and HR vision so we are all aligned on the path forward. Our work increases employee engagement and enables your company to be sustainable, profitable and innovative. 3. We lead 1-hour interactive workshops on a range of topics to help advance women in the workplace. Workshop topics include Negotiating for the Compensation You Deserve, Advocating for Yourself at Work, and Interview & Performance Review Prep. We’ve worked with professional groups across the globe including CREW Vancouver, Tech Ladies, Girls in Tech, and SWE, and have supported clients negotiate compensation at companies like Goldman Sachs, Uber, Deloitte, JP Morgan, Stripe and many more. Note: "women" includes anyone who identifies as a woman.

"According to the 2018 Canadian Census, women make up 54% of caregivers in Canada with the highest gender discrepancies in respondents aged 45 and under. Therefore, implementing holistic parental leave policies and return to work plans for parents re-entering the workforce is essential to retain women. The value of additional support services (such as on-site daycare, pump/lactation rooms, or onboarding for parents returning from a leave) on successful retention of parents in the workforce is a key component of this movement and something whose influence is often undervalued. It is important to understand what services may be available to you so you can have important conversations and plan accordingly to fill in any gaps that may not be offered."
