We envision a Feminist, Fossil-Fuel-Free Fashion Future rooted in circularity and climate, racial, and gender justice.

About us

Threading Change is a youth-led organization working to advance a carbon-neutral, equitable, and financially resilient fashion future. Through our innovative organizational model, we specialize in facilitating creative events, convening unlikely allies, and initiating valuable industry and citizen connections. We support businesses to grow their climate and social impact initiatives in order to co-create a local fashion industry that is equitable, youth-driven, and climate-resilient. Our tri-impact model is as follows: 1. Education: Through our "Textile Talks" webinar series, we help raise awareness by bringing together experts and community members in the fashion supply chain, policy, design, entrepreneurial space, and more. We support the discussion and ideation of how we can transition to more ethical fashion choices and catalyze systemic change. 2. Innovation - Global Innovation Story Map The Global Innovation Story Map is a research and visualization tool that evaluates businesses and organizations based on their commitment to equitable and sustainable practices in fashion. The GISM seeks to advance transparency, circularity, and innovation in the global fashion landscape. Through the gathering of stories, insights, and best practices, the Story Map uplifts small fashion brands and cultivates a network of practitioners who live and breathe Threading Change’s vision of a Feminist Fossil-Fuel Free Fashion Future. 3. Consultation Threading Change Consultancy helps fashion brands and fashion learning institutions optimize their operations to incorporate circularity and equity into their daily practices to align, scale, and rebrand their business with the SDGs and circularity, to advance anti-racism and gender equity in brand operations and workplace, and to aid in rebranding and communication of brands’ ethics and sustainability effort to their target markets.
