Whether that be hourly or a definite quote. 2. Do they haul their own equipment? If so, what is the cost? Many companies hire this part out or don't give you a good estimate, costing potentially hundreds. 3. IF HIRING HOURLY, make sure you inquire about approximate hours. Many skid steer companies are getting into mulching, and this makes full sized machines seem overpriced at first glance, but consider PRODUCTION FOR PRICE. In many cases, we will actually end up saving the customer money, even though our hourly rate is higher. 4. Do they have multiple machines? While this may not seem important, mulchers are extremely high maintenance, making them prone to breaking down. When this happens, many companies don't have more than one machine, making them abandon the job, leaving the customers with a bill, and an uncompleted job.
