It’s not all “just in your head.” Common physical symptoms of depression include changes in appetite and weight, disrupted sleep patterns (insomnia or oversleeping), fatigue, and low energy levels. Physical aches and pains, such as headaches or stomach problems, are also common. Depression can impact one's ability to concentrate and make decisions, and it often leads to a diminished interest in activities, which may result in reduced physical activity. If you’re struggling with depression, give us a call at (905) 897-9699. We can help. #depression #depressiontreatment #mentalhealth

About us
TMS Clinics of Canada is a technology-based Mental Health Clinic in the Toronto area. We are a new and energetic organization looking to help the thousands of Torontonians who are suffering from depression, OCD and other mental health challenges. Our mission is to provide an effective alternative to medication for people suffering from mental health challenges that is non-invasive and has no major side effects. With TMS Therapy, we can stay true to our mission. At TMS Clinics of Canada, we use TMS to help treat Depression, Anxiety, OCD, and PTSD. TMS Therapy is a non-invasive treatment, with no systemic side effects. It was approved for clinical use in the United States in 2008 and Health Canada approved it for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder in 2013. Our device, manufactured by Brainsway® Deep TMS technology, has been tested in over 60 clinical studies worldwide. TMS does not have the disturbing side effects of antidepressant drugs. Deep TMS Therapy is very effective at treating depression, even when antidepressants fail. Studies have found that 80% of patients with depression experience significant improvement and 50% go into complete remission of their depressive symptoms. Deep TMS also has durability and patient’s remission can be sustained over long periods of time. We believe that anyone can live a happier and healthier life - without drugs.

Mental health conditions often have a genetic component, with research suggesting that certain genes can increase susceptibility to conditions like depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia. While genetics can play a role in predisposition, environmental factors, and life experiences also significantly influence the development and manifestation of these conditions. Therefore, the link between genetics and mental health is complex, and it's crucial to consider both genetic and environmental factors in understanding these conditions. If you or a loved one is struggling with a mental health issue, you don’t have to do it alone. Regardless of whether genetics play a role, we can help.
