I am pleased to share my latest interview with Global Business Reports (GBR) for the 2024 Brazil Mining Report. As we are preparing for #Exposibram, Brazil's largest mining trade show, from September 9-12th in Belo Horizonte, it is important to reflect on how we could move the mining sector forward in Brazil and how TSX & TSXV, as the World's leading mining exchange can contribute to Brazil's clean energy transition. As of July 2024, Mining was the most active sector on TSX & TSXV, with 33 new listings, 707 financings and a total of $7.2 Billion equity capital raised. There are currently 1109 Mining issuers on TSX & TSXV. Mining could position itself as the growth engine of the Brazilian economy. TSX and TSXV are playing an active role in helping develop Brazil's mineral wealth. Brazil is relatively well known by our international Mining issuers and investors: ·      There are currently 34 TSX and TSXV mining companies in Brazil, with 95 mining properties. ·      $487 million of equity capital raised in 2023 by companies with mining projects in Brazil. Investors and our issuers depend on us to maintain the integrity of our markets and Toronto's ecosystem has a deep understanding of the mining activities across various jurisdictions. These important market strengths for the Toronto Stock Exchange that will have a positive impact on Brazil and Latam’s medium-to-long term growth and ability to raise capital in the mining sector. The TMX Internship Program provides students with meaningful opportunities to learn, develop, and apply their knowledge and creativity toward designing innovative solutions. Throughout the four months there are various events, programs, and projects to create opportunities for the interns to connect with their peers and network with TMX leaders while learning new skills and making an impact on local communities through volunteer initiatives.
