It was a special night for Niagara’s culinary ambassadors when MICHELIN Guide Toronto & Region selections were announced on September 18, 2024. For the first time, the MICHELIN Guide expanded beyond Toronto to include neighbouring regional communities. In doing so, two Niagara area properties were recognized as MICHELIN Guide recommended. Trius Winery & Restaurant of Niagara-on-the-Lake and Fat Rabbit of St. Catharines have achieved this recognition for the first time. Restaurants with MICHELIN Green Star, which honours establishments that “are pioneers in sustainable gastronomy” are rare, with previously only White Lily of Toronto receiving this distinction in the region. Yesterday, Restaurant Pearl Morissette of Jordan Station was awarded as only the second restaurant in the region to receive a MICHELIN Green Star. Additionally, Restaurant Pearl Morissette was recognized with 1 MICHELIN Star, identifying this establishment as serving exceptional cuisine that’s rich in flavour, remarkably executed and infused with the personality of a talented chef. Congratulations to all the talented culinary teams recognized in the MICHELIN Guide Toronto & Region announcement. Tourism Partnership of Niagara was on hand to cheer on the Niagara winners and wish to congratulate Trius Winery & Restaurant, Fat Rabbit and Restaurant Pearl Morissette on this remarkable achievement!
