The non-potable water is shutting off on October 29 at the RV Sanitary Dump (62 Thevenaz Industrial Trail). The water is turned off to prevent damage from freezing. The dump stays open all year and the water turns back on for May long 2025.

The City of Red Deer, with a population of more than 90,000, is only 15 minutes away and the Town has a trading area of over 2.5 million people. Sylvan Lake is also fortunate to be located at the centre of one of the most prosperous economic regions globally--the Edmonton-Calgary Corridor, with both major Cities and their numerous amenities an hour and half drive away, accessed easily via Highway 2.
