  • The true power of coaching lies in helping others see what they can't see for themselves. It's not about giving them the answers—it's about guiding them to unlock their own insights. In Greg's conversation with Ayesha Shah, CHRL, CCP, GRP, Prosci ADKAR, she shared a story about when she challenged someone to rethink their approach to problem-solving. Not just from the perspective of what they’re trying to avoid, but what they truly want to inspire in others. This shift in perspective is never easy, but it’s crucial. When we’re coached by someone who sees us fully, and when we offer that to others, it’s about creating the space for real transformation. As leaders, it’s not our job to have all the answers but to ask the right questions—ones that inspire new thinking and unlock potential. • On the Accelerating Operational Performance podcast Ayesha Shah, CHRL, CCP, GRP, Prosci ADKAR introduced a concept that really stuck with us—extraordinary compassion. While many of us practice compassion to some degree, Ayesha tells Greg that when we’re looking to reframe a situation or shift a mindset, we need to go beyond the ordinary. That’s where extraordinary compassion comes in. It’s about acknowledging someone’s choices, words, or experiences without labeling them as right or wrong. It’s holding space for others with kindness and understanding, especially when we may not have shared their experiences. What struck us most about this episode is how Ayesha links compassion with empathy. By granting others the freedom to experience life without judgment, we not only deepen our understanding but also create room for genuine connection and growth. This is a powerful mindset shift for leaders and teams alike. Can we practice witnessing without judgment in our daily interactions? How might that change our relationships and workplace culture? Let’s all dig deeper into extraordinary compassion and see what shifts for us and those around us. #Leadership #ExtraordinaryCompassion #Empathy #GrowthMindset #WorkplaceCulture #AOPPodcast #CompassionateLeadership #PersonalGrowth Watch the full episode: https://lnkd.in/gnPwZfYC

  • Small actions can have big impacts! It's easy to overlook the everyday moments that shape our team's experience. As leaders, our influence goes beyond big decisions. It's in the simple greetings, the clarity of our expectations, and the way we choose to focus on the positive. Here's how these small actions can boost your employer brand: ▪️ Start by simply asking "How's it going?" before diving into tasks to show you value your team as individuals. ▪️ Ensure clear communication by specifically stating what needs to be done and how, and involve your team in the process. ▪️ Recognize achievements and provide positive feedback to foster a supportive environment. These seemingly minor actions contribute to a positive work environment and a stronger employer brand. Remember, leadership is about more than just titles – it's about creating a place where people feel valued and motivated! • In a recent podcast with Vince Vlaminck, he highlights some core operational excellence practices that any business or industry can adopt. These key practices include: 🔹 6S: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety. This methodology helps to create and maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment. 🔹 TPM: Total Productive Maintenance. This approach focuses on maximizing equipment effectiveness throughout its entire lifecycle. 🔹 Standardized Work: This involves establishing consistent procedures for tasks to improve quality, safety, and efficiency. 🔹 Role of Management to Support the Worker: This emphasizes the importance of leaders actively supporting and enabling employees to perform their jobs effectively. By implementing these practices, organizations can foster a culture of continuous improvement, which can enhance productivity, quality, and employee satisfaction. Remember, operational excellence is a journey, not a destination. It requires ongoing commitment and effort from everyone in the organization. #OperationalExcellence #ContinuousImprovement #6S #TPM #StandardizedWork #Leadership 🎧 Listen to the full episode: https://lnkd.in/gD-cByiD 📺 Watch the episode: https://lnkd.in/gbnKnfhy

Fall is the perfect reminder that even when things seem to be coming to an end, it’s often the start of something new and exciting. As we step into this new season, let’s embrace the changes around us and within us, trusting that they're preparing us for what's to come. • The manufacturing world is changing fast. New tech, new workers, new challenges. HR can't just stick to the old playbook. Here are some tips for your next training program: 🔹 Don't just throw training at people. Figure out what skills your leaders are actually missing. Talk to employees and look at performance reviews. Get specific! 🔹 Nobody learns from boring lectures. Mix things up! Use games, simulations, real-life examples. Make safety training fun (yes, it's possible!). 🔹 Set clear targets for every training program. "Reduce accidents" is too vague. Aim for something like "15% fewer accidents this quarter". Then track your progress! 🔹 HR can't do it alone. Partner with production, distribution, everyone! Make sure training supports the company's big picture goals. One of the bigger things we can share is that you shouldn't just train for today's needs. Your company will grow and change. Choose training that can adapt and grow with you! HR has a HUGE role to play in keeping manufacturing companies competitive. Let's embrace the change and build a workforce that's ready for anything! #ManufacturingHR #FutureOfWork #UpSkilling #TrainingThatWorks
