🎉 Record-Breaking Weekend at the 11th Annual United Way and Valero BBQ Showdown! 🎉   The United Way BBQ Showdown has truly become a significant event for Southern Oklahoma, attracting attendees from across the region. This year's cookoff was a record-breaking success, featuring more than 50 teams from multiple states, all vying for the top spot in the best Cajun dish on Friday night and the best barbecue on Saturday afternoon.   Velan is honored to have been a proud participant in this event for many years, reflecting our ongoing commitment to excellence and community engagement.   Our team, the VALVE BUBBAS COOKING TEAM partnered up with Sunbelt Supply and performed exceptionally well: 🍖 2nd place in Ribs 🥩 5th place in Pork Butts 🏅 6th place Overall out of 45 cooking teams!   It was an incredible experience working with such a dedicated team, staying up most of the night, and pushing through with very little sleep. Velan has secured a major contract with Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) in Assam, India. We will supply a substantial severe service valve package to their Resid Processing and Treatment Unit employing Chevron Lummus Global (CLG) LC-FINING ebullated bed residue hydrocracking technology. The advanced process converts vacuum resid into valuable liquid products such as naphtha, gasoline, and vacuum gas oil at intense temperatures and pressures. Velan’s contribution to the project will include high-performance Securaseal® severe service metal-seated ball valves, purge lines, HexashieldTM thermal sleeves, SecuraringTM gaskets, chopper valves, control ball valves, motor-operated and pneumatically actuated ball valves. [VELAN, a key player in the launch of Ariane 6 🚀]   Last night, the new European launcher designed to put heavy payloads into orbit successfully lifted off from the Guiana Space Centre, completing its qualification flight. What makes it special? Velan recently won a multi-million dollar order with Daelim & Hyundai Engrg Korea for the S-Oil Shaheen project at Ulsan Refinery, South Korea’s largest ever petrochemical plant and the largest naphtha-fed steam cracker in the world. The $7 billion project is the first to commercialize TC2C™ technology which will help reduce carbon emissions through a highly efficient process that converts crude into petrochemical feedstocks. The valve package supplied by Velan includes high-pressure globe valves, stop check valves and severe service metal-seated ball valves. Velan products were selected because of the high-quality and reliability of our valves referenced in previous S-Oil projects such as the Residue Upgrading Complex which began commercial operations in 2018 and where over 2,300 Velan valves were supplied. #Velan #CLG #LummusTechnology #EbullatedBed #Hydrocracking
