We’re still riding on the October momentum with new developments at VentureLabs! 🚀 Here’s a recap: 🌟On October 23-24, we hosted The Discovery Foundation Health Sciences Business Development 101, which focused on strategic planning, intellectual property, deal valuation, partnership building, and term sheet analysis. Led by industry experts Modestus Obochi, PhD MBA, Janet Grove, Geoffrey Hansen, Chuck Hamilton, Bruce Clarke, and Lesley Esford, the program featured interactive workshops, panels, and Q&A sessions, providing participants with practical skills for successful business development in health sciences. 🌟On October 23, we hosted the Tech & Toast Breakfast Series with Anika Klassen from Gowling WLG, who discussed protecting trade secrets as part of an IP strategy. Anika covered what defines a trade secret, its advantages over patents, and protection and enforcement methods like injunctions and damage claims.
