  • "You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop." Rumi Each of us has an ocean of potential within us. But we are often the last ones to see it. We dance around our dreams and watch the days tick by. Thinking of what it would be like if... We don't trust in a strength we have not yet seen. But it lies deep within each of us. Sometimes an event forces it to the surface. Other times we're able to reach down and pull it up. But there it lies. Waiting. Hoping to make our acquaintance. It's there because it belongs there. Maybe it's time we all discovered everything it has to offer. #potential #dreams #inspirations Vernon Hiller Inspirations writes and speaks about the importance of Setting Goals, Building a Positive Mindset, and Living with Intent.

T.S. Eliot once said, "Most of the trouble in the world is caused by people wanting to be important." Think about it. So much of the conflict we see around us, whether on a global scale or in our everyday lives, boils down to this craving for importance. People push others down to lift themselves up, start arguments just to be heard, and make decisions based on ego rather than empathy. How many times have we seen someone act out just because they wanted to feel significant? Whether it's in politics, at work, or even within our social circles, this desire for recognition can lead to all kinds of trouble. We see it when people interrupt conversations to dominate the discussion, when leaders make reckless decisions to leave a legacy, or when someone spreads gossip just to feel relevant or somehow superior. Yet, the truth is, we are all important. You don’t have to be the wealthiest, most successful, most beautiful, most innovative, highest-achieving, or any other pursuit of so-called "perfection." You are important just as you are. That said, a healthy, balanced ego understands that being important in the right way means lifting others up, not tearing them down. It means being a positive force in your community, workplace, or family. It’s about doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. It's about being kind, compassionate, and empathetic to your fellow human because you understand that we are all together on this journey of life. And it's not easy for any of us. So remember, every single one of us is here to contribute to the grand cosmic production of LIFE. Which means... You can just be YOU, and you matter. Prioritizing people is always the way to go. Giving employees what they need to lead happy, fulfilled lives in and out of the workplace ultimately improves the bottom line—so it’s a win-win. Ikea's quit rate rose to alarming levels during the pandemic, with about a third of all store workers leaving each year. Unhappy workers can lead to unhappy customers. Not to mention, Ikea employs 165,000 people and they were losing $5,000 when each worker quit. Moms First and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) released a report looking at 5 companies who offer some form of #childcare benefits. All 5 companoes saw a positive return on their investment, ranging from 90% all the way to 425%. Retaining even just 1% of eligible employees can cover the cost of providing child care benefits for all of those who are eligible within a company. When you do right by your people, everyone reaps the benefits.

Are you scared because of the pain? Avoidance of pain is not an option on this path. . . actually, it’s not an option on any path you choose. There’s actually only 2 options, and both are entirely within your control. Pain and growth. . . OR Pain and suffering. Some people do everything they can to avoid pain, and with that. . . still get pain, and also suffering. As a matter of fact, the pain is from the suffering. The path you choose will never be devoid of: -> pain -> obstacles -> heartbreaks -> let downs -> losses You have the choice to embrace it, learn, and grow from the pain. . . OR choose to run and hide from the pain and live in suffering. Choose your pain wisely. Yours truthfully, Michael Kainatsky #changeprovoking #growth #startups

“You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy.”

Still by far the best explanation of how one single mission, rebuilding whale populations worldwide, can restore oceans health and reverse the climate crisis. The world simply cannot get behind thousands of climate initiatives, irrespective of how inspiring they may be. What we need are a handful of easy to comprehend actions which can deliver epic scale impact at a global level - and unite the world behind their delivery. What would be in your BIG FIVE? ❤️World Oceans Day
