AquaEye® - The First of Its Kind Search and Rescue Product.
About us
Vodasafe provides modern methods for water based search and rescue through easily accessible, hand-held scanning sonar devices. Current waterfront rescue methods are archaic, slow to deploy and prone to error. Water clarity makes waterfront rescue extremely difficult and time consuming and in rescue, every second counts. The AquaEye® is an advanced underwater scanner, using the latest in ultrasound and artificial intelligence technologies to identify human bodies underwater. It is our one of a kind product which changes everything with the potential to save hundreds more lives each year; it’s easy to use, only requires one rescuer to operate and displays visual representation of the search area within seconds, allowing users to locate their victims immediately. Mission: Modernize current water based rescue technologies for search and rescue, emergency responders, lifeguards, and recreational users to aid in lifesaving and victim recovery.

AquaEye headed to LA to train AquaEye customer LA County Fire Department's Lifeguard team with Copper Collar Group. LA County Fire invested heavily in AquaEye to kit out the team all along the coast, protecting many miles of beaches. With the training they are fully prepared for a water rescue. We are very excited to have them on Team AquaEye.

AquaEye attended the Mid Atlantic Public Safety Divers Forum in Virginia at the end of September. In attendance were AquaEye partners Copper Collar Group, and teaching classes were AquaEye ambassadors Josh Gibbs and Buch Buchanan. AquaEye Product Specialist Phill Lloyd got to participate in a class recovering a submerged vehicle and was able to locate the car with the aid of AquaEye's Echo Map. AquaEye's immediate deployment makes it the ideal device to get in the water first. Assessing the scene and using the intelligence to locate humans, or the raw sonar data to locate large objects. These large objects could be something you are looking for, or hazards to plan your rescue around.

Dive and sonar experts weigh in on AquaEye. AquaEye's Phill Lloyd sat down with expert diver and owner of Dive911, Buck Buchanan to hear about how he deploys AquaEye as a dive team commander. Buck also told us about a recovery he did in 7 minutes of dive time using AquaEye to mark the target. Also sitting down with Phill and Buck is Josh Gibbs, sonar expert and Sergeant at Mobile PD and Daphne SAR. Josh discusses best use cases for AquaEye and refers to it as the AED of water rescue.
