Where innovation meets purpose

About us

Volt-Age is a leading research program in electrification funded by the Canada First Research Excellence Fund (CFREF) to accelerate the social, economic, and environmental change needed for Canada to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. We do this through community-focused research that develops and integrates technologies for carbon-neutral buildings, advanced energy storage, smart grids, and the electrification of transportation. Working with numerous municipal governments, businesses, and community-based organizations, along with the collective expertise of over 200 researchers from Concordia University, the University of Calgary, Toronto Metropolitan University and Dalhousie University, our vast network has created opportunities for creative and effective collaboration to drive innovation and ensure our success. Volt-Age values affordability, equity, and societal well-being, with a special emphasis on addressing the unique needs of Indigenous communities. Discover numerous opportunities for partnerships, collaborations, and funding with Volt-Age.
