Meet Gloria, a dedicated school bus driver who faced a challenging time after slipping on ice and breaking a bone in her shoulder. With support from #WCB, she was able to take time off work for surgery and 14 weeks of physiotherapy to help in her recovery. After completing her rehabilitation program, Gloria was clear to #ReturnToWork on a gradual basis. She’s happy to be back on job and on the road. It’s #YOUniqueCare.

What is modified work? Modified work helps to reduce the cost of workplace illness and injuries and keeps injured workers job-attached in meaningful ways. By adjusting work areas, hours or tasks, modified work helps injured workers stay engaged and connected to their job while they recover. We collaborate with workers and employers to find modified work solutions that benefit injured workers. Learn more about modified work at: https://lnkd.in/grXJWftf #WorkersCompensation #WCBAlberta

Do you have coverage in place for your business? The law requires most employers to have workers’ compensation protection for their workers. If you run your own business as an owner, director or partner, personal coverage would ensure you’re protected, too. Check out the different types of coverage options available from WCB-Alberta: https://lnkd.in/gh4uKdcq. #WorkersCompensation

What’s it like to #WorkAtWCB? We help people recover from workplace illnesses and injuries, so we take injury prevention seriously when it comes to our own team members. Good office ergonomics and sound health and safety processes are foundational part of our day-to-day. When a new employee starts at #WCBAlberta, our Corporate Wellness team conducts a full ergonomic assessment. Team members then receive the ergonomic equipment they need to support proper body mechanics and avoid repetitive strain injuries whether they’re working from home or in the office. If you want to work for an employer who cares apply today: www.wcb.ab.ca/careers. And if you want to read up on good office ergonomics, check out our downloadable PDF handbook: https://lnkd.in/guZSBqU.
