This month, our Rwandan team brought together nearly 60 head teachers and mentors from 23 schools for a three-day training session. Together, they explored strategies for creating classrooms that are safe, fun, and engaging. By building environments where every child feels supported and excited to learn, students are set up for lifelong success. During the training, school leaders got hands-on practice, planning real sessions for their schools and receiving feedback from their peers. In closing, the Rubavu District Education Inspector highlighted the lasting impact this training will have on schools across the district—and we can’t wait to see the transformation it brings! ✨ Here’s to classrooms that inspire joy and learning for every child!

Our team in Rwanda, along with our filmmaking partners at 64waves, recently filmed a series of model lessons. Each lesson focuses on equipping teachers with key strategies that make learning dynamic, fun, and engaging! These videos will be shared digitally with schools to help even more teachers transform their classrooms into joy-filled and supportive spaces where students can thrive!

Check out this powerful reminder of the life-changing impact a quality education has on every child! Signs like this line the walkways of a school in Gasabo, reminding students of their potential as they head to class. These daily affirmations inspire students to believe in themselves, aim high, and embrace the opportunities that education brings.

School gardens in Rubavu are helping keep students in school! 🥕 These gardens aren’t just about providing nutritious food for school meals—they are part of a broader effort to improve student well-being and reduce dropout rates. With access to regular meals, students are staying healthier, more focused, and better prepared to engage in learning. When students are well-fed, they can focus on what really matters—learning!

Today is International Day of the Girl! 💪 Educating girls is one of the most powerful ways to create lasting change—not just for them, but for their families and communities. When girls have access to quality education, they gain the skills and confidence to break cycles of poverty, take on leadership roles, and achieve their dreams. Today, we celebrate the achievements of girls in Rwanda who are building brighter futures through education and leadership. It's time to invest in their vision for a better future—one where every girl has the same opportunities to thrive and reach their full potential. #DayOfTheGirl #GirlsEducation

When parents, local leaders, teachers, and the whole community come together, something amazing happens. Schools transform from classrooms into environments where every child feels supported and encouraged to grow. 🌱 By sharing their unique strengths and playing a part in student success, communities build schools that uplift every child, both in their learning and in their life. This collective approach strengthens not just the school, but the entire community. #QualityEducation #Goal4 #CommunityDevelopment #School #ABC #AssetBasedCommunityDevelopment #CommunityEngagement

Today, on Truth and Reconciliation Day in Canada, we’re pausing to listen, learn, and reflect. The power of truth and of listening together is instrumental as we step forward in healing with our Indigenous brothers and sisters. If you’re unsure where to start, we encourage you to read the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action and reflect on how you can live these out today. #EveryChildMatters #NDTR
