🚁✨ Wisk and the Federal Aviation Administration’s William J. Hughes Technical Center for Advanced Aerospace are thrilled to announce a joint research initiative focused on safely integrating #AAM operations in the National Airspace System (NAS)! Specifically, we're evaluating remotely supervised #eVTOL aircraft operations, a big step forward in the future of aviation. Building on our close collaboration with the FAA and the invaluable work of our partners at SkyGrid as Third Party Service Providers (TSPs), this research will help us assess how remotely supervised aircraft, including our Generation 6, can safely operate under current instrument flight rules (IFR) alongside air traffic control in an advanced simulation environment. In partnership with the FAA Tech Center, we’re utilizing leading-edge airspace simulation capabilities to conduct pilot-in-the-loop and controller-in-the-loop testing. This research supports potential solutions for safe integration of #AAM operations in the NAS, unlocking new opportunities for safety and efficiency for all airspace users. 🌎 This is one more example of Wisk’s dedication to advancing safe, everyday flight for everyone through innovative research partnerships! #Partnership | #NAS | #Research | #FAA

At Wisk, we’re making everyday, autonomous flight a reality for everyone.
About us
Wisk is an Advanced Air Mobility company developing the first autonomous, electric vertical takeoff and landing air taxi in the U.S. In 2010, our team set out to explore the possibilities of electric, vertical takeoff and landing flight. Since then, we have developed multiple generations of aircraft and conducted more than 1600+ test flights. In 2023, Wisk became a fully-owned subsidiary of Boeing. While we operate separately, this relationship allows us to tap into Boeing’s development, testing, and certification expertise, and more. Headquartered in Mountain View, CA with locations around the world, our vision of delivering safe, everyday flight for everyone is closer than ever to becoming reality.

💡🛩️ Designing and building a safe bonded composite structure is a complex endeavor that requires coordination of multiple teams. From design, materials, manufacturing engineering, tooling, supply chain, quality, to manufacturing technicians, every role plays a critical part. Today we celebrate each and every person who had a hand in the assembly of our Gen 6 fuselage. Thank you team for your diligence, commitment to safety, and hard work! 💫 #Gen6 | #WorkatWisk | #Fuselage

🔧✈️ Testing is key to ensuring reliability and performance in the real world. At Wisk, one of the critical steps in advancing our Generation 6 aircraft propulsion systems is the Integrated Boom Cross Flow Test. This testing phase simulates the transition between vertical and horizontal flight, giving us valuable insights into how our propulsion systems perform in cross flow environments. We do this to: 🌬️ Simulate real-world conditions 🔍 De-risk critical hardware 🔧 Optimize system integration 📊 Lay the foundation for more advanced tests Each step brings us closer to making safe, autonomous flight a reality. Check out our latest blog for a deep dive into this essential testing process. 🔗 https://bit.ly/4e4q3QA #IntegratedBoom | #AutonomousFlight | #Testing | #Propulsion | #Sustainability

We were grateful to spend a few days in D.C. this week at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Global Aerospace Summit. 🏛 We kicked off Monday evening with a private dinner at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce headquarters where we discussed the future of #AAM with Peter Bunce, Ed Bolen, Earl Lawrence, Vishal Amin and more. Our COO/CFO Tyler Painter spoke on a panel at the Summit alongside BETA TECHNOLOGIES and Reliable Robotics Corporation, and we displayed a subscale of our Gen 6 aircraft while conference attendees could experience an autonomous air taxi flight via our VR headsets. It’s been an action-packed week, and it's been fun to meet and reconnect with all of you! #AutonomousFlight | #GlobalAerospaceSummit
