This week's #FridayFeature is an exciting one, as we highlight four fabulous #EmergingLeaders from our supporting sponsor, L3Harris Technologies! Michelle Monte co-leads the L3Harris Women in Engineering (WIE) employee resource group, in addition to her technical achievements. WIE is a network of women with engineering backgrounds that participate in professional development, community outreach, and employee engagement. Michelle facilitates opportunities to break down gender stereotypes and encourage more women to pursue careers in STEM. Sara Roy is a wonderful role model to the L3Harris' junior engineers. She provides strong leadership to the software teams for design and solution development for integrated communications and networks of tactical maritime platforms and command and operations centers. Sara joined L3Harris in November 2021 and has over twenty-five years of software engineering experience. Stéphanie Malouin joined the Human Resources team as an HR Business Partner in 2022 and naturally inherited the mandate to leverage the company's culture of inclusiveness by coordinating all Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives at several of L3Harris Canadian sites. Her unifying leadership skills and passion have made it possible to enhance and strengthen organizational performance through these initiatives. Alexandria Harmsworth is an SME in data management and has been instrumental in creating processes and systems to support secure access to critical business information. She is committed to continuous improvement and has obtained a Lean certification and executed on e3 projects and initiatives identifying cost savings/cost avoidance. Congratulations to LGen Jennie Carignan ✅ on making history as the first woman in Canada to lead the Canadian Armed Forces | Forces armées canadiennes as the Chief of the Defence Staff. LGen Carignan's appointment marks a significant milestone and is a testament to her exceptional leadership and dedication. At the same time, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Lieutenant-General Frances Allen for her remarkable service as Vice Chief of Defence Staff. LGen Allen's support to Women in Defence and Security (WiDS) has been both inspiring and impactful, and her leadership has greatly advanced our mission to empower and equip women in our industry. Both of these women have been pivotal in shaping our vision, and we celebrate their contributions today and every day.
