The latest Labour Force Survey Results are in! 📝 The latest stats show a 4.5% unemployment rate, which is up 1.3% from July. 📊 While Ontario sits at 7.0% and the national rate is 6.5%, Peterborough continues to show resilience in the labour market. ✅ Employment Rate: 52.6% (slightly down from last month and last year) ✅ Participation Rate: 55.0% (holding steady but also slightly down) 👷♀️ Top Employing Sectors: Health Care & Social Assistance: 12,300 Wholesale & Retail Trade: 7,100 Manufacturing: 6,700 With 66,600 people in the local workforce, these numbers provide a snapshot of where the region stands.
