To provide women with opportunities to improve their quality of life through self-development and community action.

About us

We have been making a difference in the lives of Toronto’s immigrant women and their families since 1974. For over 4 decades, we have worked to provide access to the right programs and services that build healthy communities. From settlement counseling and community initiatives to economic development and English language instruction, to educational supports and resident engagement, we work to provide holistic programs and services delivered by caring knowledgeable staff. It’s what makes Working Women feel like a trusted friend, and in many cases, a lifeline for the thousands of immigrant women that visit our centres. At WWCC, we believe that when a woman has opportunities to realize her full potential, we are all better for it.

Updates

  • Working Women Community Centre's Victoria Park Hub hosted an exceptional event in collaboration with Toronto Neighbourhood Group and Turtle House Family Arts Program. The pumpkin activity, led by Turtle House Family Arts Program, and followed by the weekly cooking session, was a wonderful experience for the newcomer women who participated!

  • As we begin a new HIPPY year at Working Women Community Centre, we look back at the June 2024 graduation of the HIPPY for Young Mothers program. This event honored young mothers dedicated to their children's early education and emphasized the program's role in fostering growth within this community. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our donors, whose ongoing generosity continues to empower these mothers in creating brighter futures. https://lnkd.in/gysUwQr3
