Last night, at our Young Insurance Professionals of Toronto (YIPT) speaker panel, we had an insightful conversation where we delved into some of the more pressing matters currently facing the insurance industry. One of the main themes discussed was the talent gap, and the growing difficulty in finding skilled professionals. We talked about the importance of not just filling positions, but finding the right individuals whose skills and values align with the future needs of organizations. We also addressed the need for organizations, to build environments where employees can feel engaged while also being true to their authentic selves. I believe the main takeaway from last night, was that as insurance professionals, we need to continue to champion this industry, and continue to promote all of the positives that this industry has to offer. In doing so, we will continue to attract the next generation of talent. Thank you to our speakers Rob Marsh, Patricia Chiodo, CHRP, and Blake DeClark, CPA, CGA, H.B.Comm.
