YMCA Canada is a charity, and the national office of the Canadian YMCA Federation, providing support to 39 YMCA Member Associations. Our role is to foster and stimulate the development of strong Member Associations and encourage collaborative initiatives; protect and enhance the reputation of the YMCA; and advocate on behalf of Associations regionally, nationally and internationally. Let’s celebrate the champions of early childhood education! The first five years of a child’s life are crucial for their development. Canada’s highly trained early childhood educators are the backbone of this growth, providing enriched environments where young minds can thrive. They don’t just supervise; they deliver high-quality, evidence-based programs that prepare children for school and future success. At the YMCA we deeply value our early childhood educators who are committed providing high-quality care for children and supporting families. Let's recognize and support these dedicated professionals, today and every day. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g4ABEKHC. #EarlyChildhoodEducation #ECE #ELCC

A world without poverty starts with us. On this International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, the YMCA stands with those whose potential is limited by economic barriers. We know that when communities come together, we can create real change. At the Y, we're committed to providing opportunities for everyone—whether it's access to affordable housing, employment services, child care, or mental health support. Together, we can break down the walls of poverty and build pathways to success.

Today, we shine a light on mental health – a vital part of overall well-being. At the Y, we believe everyone has the potential to thrive, and that includes having access to quality mental health support both in life and in the workplace. Creating a healthy work environment is essential for the overall well-being of our staff and volunteers. By fostering a space where mental health is prioritized, we help each other overcome obstacles, reduce stress, and stay empowered in our roles. Let’s continue to support each other on this journey. #MentalHealthAtWork

Today, we stand in solidarity with the families of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals. The Sisters in Spirit Vigil is a day of remembrance, reflection, and a call to action for justice and healing. Let’s honour their lives and commit to building a future free from violence and inequality for all.
