A few things are apparent even before entering Frank Lloyd Wright's, Darwin D. Martin house via its tucked away entrance. One is his use of linear elements and the other is that neither he nor his client were tall men. Upon entering through what was at most a 6'-2" door, the ceiling heights may have seemed generous to Wright, who was 5'-7" but it was not so for my 6'-6" friend who I toured with. The house, its furnishings and grounds are certainly the work of creative genius and the interconnected stories of the architect and the businessman client who allowed it all to happen were equally interesting. Interior pics were not allowed but if you're in the Buffalo area, it's definitely worth checking out.
