In this role, you will develop and expand Hasbro’s business within assigned accounts and will make a meaningful contribution to the business plan, providing input on relevant market information and sales and marketing strategies!

A Day in the Life of an Account Manager:

For the assigned accounts, the successful candidate will:

  • Achieve targeted sales objectives for revenue and profitability consistent with the annual business plan through identification of business opportunities and working with cross functional teams to develop unique and profitable product offerings.
  • Develop the account Business Plan in accordance with Hasbro parameters for use in line reviews.
  • Assist in setup and alignment of joint business plan. Determine shipments and POS budget by brand and monitor and track performance.
  • Develop relationships and form strategic alliances with assigned account/partners. Plan and conduct business review meetings to ensure customer is kept current on product line, features, and brand strategy.
  • In partnership with the Sales Analyst, contribute to reports analysis including POS results, to determine account business requirements. Review inventory and profitability metrics as well.
  • Act as key point person for weekly recommended orders (domestic and import) and warehouse pushes within designated categories.
  • Complete year-round category and item forecasting in Atlas system.
  • Work on advertising and promotional planning for omni channel execution.
  • Keep current on customer/competitor situations and generate plan to ensure market share objectives are achieved.
  • Manage exclusives, blitz opportunities and closeouts into product mix for assigned account.
  • Manage budget and spend within parameters.
  • Partner with CSM and Marketing to execute against vision and to develop strategic pillars and activate at retail stores through ads, out-of-aisle, pallets, events.
  • Provide retail merchandising team, where applicable, with timely direction and material to execute programs at retail level

What you’ll bring:

  • University degree or college diploma – preferably in business administration
  • 3+ years in sales within the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry, including 2+ years in both direct selling and key account management
  • Prior experience in multiple channel types (i.e. grocery, mass merchandiser)
  • Experience analyzing data and sales information to effectively deliver on sales strategy
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint -- prior exposure to retail reporting software packages are an asset
  • Well-developed influencing and negotiating skills to achieve results (both internally and externally)
  • Clear, persuasive communicator (written and verbal) including active listening ability, fact-based selling and presentation skills
