I'm excited to move past the free…

I'm excited to move past the free account to integrate Trustpilot in a more substantial way. I'm hoping that their relationship with Google will help raise our SEO profile. I felt their sales tactics were a little "hard" but everyone's trying to close a deal right? I hope what we're paying is worth it.

My unflattering but honest review was…

My unflattering but honest review was removed after being flagged by the business concerned. I was upset & wondered if there was any point in reviewing goods & services. But my review was tested against the Trustpilot guidelines, found to be fair and reinstated. This has given me confidence to believe that what I read on Trustpilot is fair and true.

Help me to help you with reviews!

Very happy to help with reviews when I can - it’s a good feedback service for customers and companies alike. However, I sometimes have a variety of recent orders from a company that you ask me to review so please could you try to pinpoint which order/orders you want me to review or make it clear if you want a general overview? Helps me to target comments.

It’s important to read reviews.

It’s important to read the reviews of others having had experience with the products we’re thinking about buying. This way, if we see bad reviews, we can avoid making a purchase that we may regret. However if we see lots of good reviews we can have more confidence in purchasing that product, & Trustpilot is a good place to read them.

I trust Trustpilot

So far, it seems very good. I’m new here, that’s why I give Trustpilot 4 stars & not 5. It’s perfect to be able to go to a platform like this one, if I want to know more about a specific company. Even though I always want to have my own experience & opinion in regard to things, I do think that it might mean something, if a company gets 98% good reviews and 2% bad ones, or the other way around, from a big number of people.

I like trust pilot

I have always found Trust pilot to be fair and let's face it, these days there is a lot to complain about. I am glad that when I have a genuine grievance with a company I can vent my frustration through this service. Long may you continue.

Site algorithms and policies allow a…

Site algorithms and policies allow a bad company to "stuff" its page with good reviews. Specifically, look at the company eDreams. It has huge numbers of 1-star ratings but still somehow has a 4.4 average (so the averaging/weighting must be wrong). For every genuine-sounding 1-star review there is a 5-star review. What I noticed is the 5-star reviews mostly have a similar writing style, naming the customer service agent and how "kind" or "helpful" they have been. I reported those 5-star reviews as suspicious but TrustPilot doesn't care.

Puzzled

I get asked to review things but not told what I’m reviewing. When you purchase several items from QVC how can you write a review when you don’t know what it’s for ??? Either you have it wrong or QVC are not supplying the relevant details

Diabolical service

I wrote a review about a company which I received goods from. Trust pilot deleted my review. I sent proof of goods I obtained after I questioned them on why my genuine review was removed. They gave me some half baked excuse with no proper reason. They ask you for open and honest reviews, they themselves can't be bothered to give you open and honest answers when you question them. One rule for one and so on. Bitterly disappointed with there service.

Observe patterns in each review and take it with a pinch of salt!

I don't take any online review 100% serious as I believe people can manipulate the system somehow, hence not give 5 stars. Saying that, in my opinion Trustpilot does a very good job in attempt to avoid those manipulations. I always read reviews and take notice on all aspect of those before I make a purchase, taking each one with a pinch of salt but observing positive and negative patterns to then make a decision.

Don't understand Trustpilot's Overall Scoring

At first, I didn’t understand how four 1-star reviews out of four, including mine, become one 2.5-star overall review on Trustpilot. I see that "The TrustScore isn’t just a simple average of all reviews. It’s based on multiple factors like the age and number of reviews. Whether or not a business actively asks customers to write reviews also impacts the TrustScore."
Furthermore:
“ Bayesian average. We use a Bayesian average in the calculation, to make sure that a business with fewer reviews starts off with a balanced TrustScore. This means that we automatically include the value of 7 reviews worth 3.5 stars each in all TrustScore calculations. As a business collects more reviews, this becomes a smaller factor in the calculation.”
Now I understand.

EVRI is my worst experience ever

I trusted your reviews for Evri, my experience with them was the worst ever. Thankfully I got my money back 4 weeks later because I'd paid using PayPal, other sites warn how bad Evri is, how could Trust Pilot get it so wrong?

Trustpilot was helpful

Trustpilot was helpful, unfortunately ThriftBooks wasn’t very helpful.The said they couldn’t resend the book that I had wanted and ordered.I went unline again and ordered the book again, will see what happens this time.
