Beware of the Quality Monster: A tale from the quality management As we wrap up our #argohytos US series, it’s time for a spooky Halloween story - because there's nothing scarier than poor quality! 👻🦇🎃 Deep within the factory, Barry Garringer, our dedicated Quality Engineer, has brought the Quality Monster to life. With glowing eyes that flash green for good products and red for defective ones. It prowls the floors, rewarding workers with treats for following the quality process to perfection. But beware, when something goes wrong! The Quality Monster sounds a piercing alarm, removes the defective product, and guides the team through the necessary repair steps. This vigilant monster helps the team improve at every turn, ensuring standards are met and continuously guiding workers toward better results. And for management, the Quality Monster doesn’t stop there. It identifies areas for improvement and provides insights, making sure no product leaves without its glowing green approval. But as the sun rises and the shadows fade, we return to reality. We’re here with Barry, as he shares insights into his job as a Quality Engineer and the impact he has on ensuring highest quality standards. Employees had access to a wide range of health-focused activities, including health check-ups, activities like strength tests, reaction walls, cardio scans, vein screenings, hearing tests, flu vaccinations and more. Also internationally, we’re actively committed to our team’s well-being. In India, we held health screenings and supported local health initiatives, while our Czech team regularly engages in sports events and health talks to promote fitness and wellness. These offerings not only support health but also foster team spirit and well-being in the workplace. Through these efforts, we strive to make a positive impact on the health and happiness of our employees year-round. 💪

Her proactive approach ensures that any process improvements are addressed quickly. For example, she created work instructions for orders, ensuring that products are built accurately and efficiently. Brooke collaborates closely with engineering and warehouse teams to make sure every order is fulfilled on time, communicating directly to keep everyone aligned. She also makes great use of internal tools like work instructions and internal Wiki platform to streamline her work and enhance efficiency. Since joining ARGO-HYTOS, Felix has been integral in crafting customized filtration solutions that make a difference. Get to know Felix better: 🔹 Position: Development Engineer 🔹 Joined ARGO-HYTOS: 2014 (Germany), transitioned to the US in 2023 In his role, Felix values the freedom to innovate and the continuous opportunities for growth. His work directly impacts customer systems, and he takes pride in having his solutions recognized. Innovation is central to Felix’s role as a Development Engineer. He works closely with customers to create innovative systems and tailored solutions that meet their specific needs. “Driven by the needs of the customer, we challenge ourselves daily to develop unique solutions,” he explains. These innovations enhance customer systems and ensure ARGO-HYTOS stays at the forefront of hydraulic technology. Felix engages directly with customers to understand their needs and turn concepts into final solutions. “With a strong focus on the problem and its solution, I collaborate closely with our engineering teams in Germany,” he says. Felix plays a vital role in bridging the gap between our customers in the US and our engineering teams in Europe. His expertise ensures smooth transitions from the development phase to production and series launch, making him an invaluable asset in delivering tailored solutions that meet customer needs. For Felix, simulation and modeling are crucial for ensuring systems run at peak efficiency. This process allows the team to visualize and refine concepts before implementation, saving time and costs for customers.
