1. August: Herzlichen Glückwunsch an die Schweiz zum Geburtstag! 🎉🎆 Bachem ist seit über 50 Jahren in der Schweiz tätig und schafft Arbeits- und Ausbildungsplätze in der Region. In den letzten zehn Jahren ist unser Team an den Standorten Bubendorf (BL) und Vionnaz (VS) von 586 auf über 1.700 Mitarbeitende gewachsen. In dieser Zeit haben über 100 Auszubildende erfolgreich ihren Abschluss bei uns gemacht. We're happy to announce that two of our apprentices from our site at Vionnaz have successfully completed their apprenticeship! 🎓 Jarod Dini, with the orange envelope, has completed his training as a "Technologue en production chimique et pharmaceutique". 🎓 Alexandre Marchand, dressed in black, has earned his qualification as a "Laborantin en chimie". Their hard work and commitment have truly paid off and we are excited to see what the future holds for these talented individuals. Congratulations, Jarod and Alexandre!

Every May and June, over 100,000 employees from approximately 3,800 companies across the Switzerland pedal to work, contributing to enhanced fitness, team spirit, and sustainable mobility. As a company with many avid bike-riding commuters, Bachem repeatedly participates in the Bike to Work Challenge, Switzerland's largest health and cycling promotion event! 🚴♀️ Now the results are in from our 159 Team Bachem Participants 🚴♂️ 🌟 66'461 km cycled: Our participants have collectively pedaled 66,461 km, equivalent to traveling around the world 1.66 times! 🌟 9'570 kg CO2 saved: This is comparable to the emissions from driving a car for about 40,000 kilometers. 🌟 3'603 cycling days: That's the equivalent of cycling every day for nearly 10 years! A big thank you to our teams and employees participating for their commitment and teamwork. Last Friday, despite the rain, 50 determined Bachem employees laced up their running shoes and joined the massive 2'460 strong field at the B2Run Basel. With a lot of energy, resilience and team spirit, they mastered the 5.9 km route along the Birs river and all successfully reached the finish line at the St. Jakob Athletics Stadium. A special shoutout to our fastest runners! 👏👏👏 René von der Stück who blazed through the course in an impressive 22:30 minutes, and Katharina Graf who crushed it in 28:00 minutes. #Bachem #B2RunBasel #Running

The FHNW Students Day "Shape Your Future in Pharma" took place a week ago. As part of the site visits, students from the FHNW, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the Albstadt-Sigmaringen University of Applied Sciences were given insight into the world of peptides and oligonucleotides at Bachem. During a panel discussion, the participants could ask our experts questions and gather impressions from the site tour. Ice cream for everyone! With these words, our employees found their way to the Bubendorf staff restaurant yesterday.
