Today, we published our 2024 year-end results. Throughout 2024, Bystronic faced economic uncertainties, a persistently weak economy and internal challenges. Sales were down considerably and despite savings, costs could not be covered, resulting in a loss. Bystronic launched a comprehensive restructuring to ensure increased profitability in the long term and an optimized position as a full solutions provider.   ·      Order intake of CHF 625 million; -21% ·      Net sales of CHF 648 million; -30% ·      Adjusted operating result (EBIT) of CHF -47 million   ·      Operating free cash flow of CHF 1.2 million   2025 will be a transition year for Bystronic. The market environment will remain challenging. Bystronic expects order intake in the first half of the year to approximate the levels of the last few quarters, and to regain market share from the third quarter onwards. For the full year 2025, we anticipate slightly lower sales and another operating loss. Last week, our Experience Center in Gotha kicked off the first of our four software-focused events for the year!   We had the privilege of hosting 20 customers at our Competence Center Bending, where the spotlight was on software - an essential component of our success. The day began with an informal meet-and-greet, leading into an in-depth exploration of software applications. Our customers were provided with valuable knowledge about software modules, 2D/3D file import, and practical tips and techniques. The agenda also covered Part Marker, BySoft Insight, and BySoft CAM Bend Robot. The event offered numerous opportunities for attendees to ask engaging questions and network with one another.   Post-lunch, participants were taken on a factory tour. Many were particularly fascinated by the extensive manufacturing capabilities of our press brakes. The afternoon provided further chances to look into our systems portfolio and bending technology. From our compact Mobile Bending Cell to the ByCell Bend Star M, and up to our large Bending Cell, all automation systems were demonstrated live on the spot.   The day was centered around software!
