We are proud to have over a thousand people in our Malaysian hub, representing diverse backgrounds and cultures, making CACEIS Malaysia a vibrant melting pot. 🎊Our staff embodies this diversity, and that’s why our dedicated Diversity Leadership Council organised the annual "𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙨 𝙊𝙣𝙚: 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣" event—one of our most inspiring gatherings.   Dressed in traditional costumes and in an atmosphere of camaraderie, the festivities kicked off with the DeliCACEIS Cooking Competition: the participants impressed us not only with their culinary skills, but also with their creative food presentation. The judges rated each dish on taste and sustainable practices, reflecting our commitment to environmental responsibility. We then enjoyed the Crafty CACEIS event, where talented participants created stunning pieces from recycled materials - showing incredible creativity! 😄 And we ended the day with the raising of the Malaysian flag and a heartfelt rendition of “𝙉𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙠𝙪”, the national anthem of Malaysia. As it marks the end of our activities in our current offices before we move to the new ones, this event is even more meaningful for us. 🙌 A big thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of this event! Throwback to the ALFI - Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry Roadshow to Scandinavia and 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴-𝘂𝗽 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀-𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝘂𝘅𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗴 We were glad to moderate a panel discussion in Stockholm where Johan Lindberg, Nordics region specialist, had an interesting discussion with Helena Unander-Scharin (ISEC) and Vesa Tyrisevä (Mandatum) on their respective experiences in setting up cross-border funds in Luxembourg. 💡Asset managers have several different options when choosing how to manage their funds in Luxembourg ranging from establishing their own management company in Luxembourg to appointing a third party management company with a Luxembourg passport. 💡Helena and Vesa discussed the advantages of the different options and highlighted the importance for each asset manager to do their homework before setting up funds to ensure that they choose the optimal structure that will enable them to implement their strategy.
