🚶♂️ 🚶🏽♀️ Der Gang zu den Behörden und endlose Papierberge – für viele von uns ungeliebte und zeitraubende Tätigkeiten, die wir oft vor uns herschieben. Wäre es nicht grossartig, wenn die Verwaltung einfacher, schneller und vor allem digitaler ablaufen würde? 💻 Heute, beim Publikationsanlass zur Studie „Res Publica Digitalis“ von #digitalswitzerland, wurden vielversprechende Ansätze zur digitalen Transformation unserer Verwaltung aufgezeigt. Zwar steht die Schweiz mit ihrem föderalistischen System vor Herausforderungen steht, dasselbe System bietet jedoch auch Raum für flexible und innovative Lösungen. Ein zentraler Erfolgsfaktor dabei: Partnerschaften auf Gemeinde- und Kantonsebene. Solche Kooperationen sind unerlässlich, um die Digitalisierung effizient und kostengünstig voranzubringen. Gerade vor dem Hintergrund der geplanten Sparmassnahmen des Bundes wird Zusammenarbeit nicht nur zur Chance, sondern zur Notwendigkeit. Fazit der Studie: Die Schweiz ist auf einem guten Weg. Erfolgreiche Praxisbeispiele aus Kanton Aargau, Kanton Schaffhausen, Kanton Schwyz und Städten wie Stadt Luzern, Stadt Bern, City of Lugano und Ville de Lausanne sowie der Swiss Post zeigen, wie bürgerorientiertes #eGovernment gelingen kann. Diese Kooperationen ebnen den Weg zu einem zukunftsfähigen, nachhaltigen Serviceangebot für die Bürgerinnen und Bürger. Die ganze Studie, inkl. The month of November marks a new chapter for our organisation as we welcome Franziska Barmettler as the new CEO of #digitalswitzerland. Franziska brings over 15 years of experience in business, sustainability, and public policy, with previous roles at swisscleantech, Migros, and IKEA. Her expertise, diverse background and fresh perspective will be invaluable as digitalswitzerland continues its role as a convener to tackle critical topics like artificial intelligence, data management, digital trust, and literacy–key areas for business, society, academia, and government alike. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Stefan Metzger for his leadership over the past three years. Stefan successfully oversaw the integration of ICTswitzerland into digitalswitzerland, guiding the organisation through a defining period. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

🌐 Building a Data Ecosystem in Switzerland: A To Do List 📝 The vision is clear this afternoon at the Swiss Data Space Forum: Switzerland needs an ecosystem where data serves as a valuable resource for innovation and societal benefit. The Federal Chancellery’s plans to establish a single point of contact for the Swiss data ecosystem, set to launch on 1 January 2025, matches the needs identified in today’s discussions and is intended to promote the multiple use of data within a trusted framework. With the Swiss Data Space Forum, digitalswitzerland and the Swiss Data Alliance have created a platform for collaboration and promoting the reuse of data across business, government, academia and the general public. What are the To Do’s identified in today’s discussions? 📌 Continue fostering a collaborative approach and expand stakeholder engagement. The SDSF is a first effort to bring together diverse stakeholders, facilitate data exchange across various domains and effectively remove barriers to collaboration. 📌 Develop and formalise trust frameworks for consistent, secure data sharing across sectors. Through discussions on data protection, security, and integrity, the SDSF contributes to the development of frameworks that enable responsible data sharing, fostering public trust in how data is used. 📌 Prioritise establishing and implementing cross-sector data standards to enhance interoperability. The Swiss Data Space Forum highlights the importance of interoperability principles and data standards, which are crucial for supporting technological solutions that ensure seamless data reuse and exchange across sectors. 📌 Identify and share emerging technologies and successful data use cases to inspire innovation and economic development.
