Last week was so insightful and educational as we wrapped up Hocoma Academy, 2024 edition! The final day was filled with valuable insights and real-world applications. Here's a quick recap: 🔹 Our participants were treated to an inspiring lecture by experts from CEN - Centro Europeo de Neurociencias CENNEURO - DIH’s Centre of Excellence, Cristina Vázquez and José López Sánchez, who shared cutting-edge knowledge on rehabilitation technologies. 🔹 We wrapped up the day with site visits to Kinderspital Zürich where Prof. Andreas Meyer-Heim and Prof. Huub van Hedel delivered remarkable sessions on #pediatric rehabilitation, Nextherapy Neuro Rehab Centers where Nilofar Niazi offered an inside look into Nextherapy’s operations. A huge thank you to our amazing speakers and all participants for making this edition of Hocoma Academy truly special. We’re already looking forward to the innovations that lie ahead and the next edition!

The newly formed SAB will advise DIH on technical and scientific pursuits, offer insights into the latest trends in the scientific and clinical communities, provide feedback on product development, and advise DIH on research plans and projects. With their expertise, DIH will continue driving its mission of improving patients' lives through advanced #rehabilitation solutions. The inaugural meeting brought together leading scientists and clinicians with expertise across a variety of technical and clinical disciplines. An insightful day at Rehaklinik Zihlschlacht! On Day 3, our Hocoma Academy participants had an incredible experience at DIH’s first Center of Excellence in Switzerland, specializing in brain and nerve injury treatment for over 30 years. 🌟 We had the privilege of learning from top experts like Dr. Benedikt Bader, Conny Cox, and more during the Expert Talk session. The highlight was also the speech from Prof. Tim Vanbellingen. Prof. Tim Vanbellingen is Affiliated Group Head at the ARTROG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research, Gerontechnology & Rehabilitation, University of Bern (Switzerland). He is also Head of Scientific Development at VAMED. His research focuses on the use of new technologies such as Virtual Reality for the recovery of #neurological patients, along with sensor-based devices for the #rehabilitation of the upper limb function.
