DLMS UA is excited to announce the release of the AC Electricity Smart Meter (ACESM) Generic Companion Profile (GCP), the latest milestone in our mission to enhance interoperability within the smart metering ecosystem. The ACESM GCP  promotes seamless data exchange between smart meters and headend systems, irrespective of the manufacturer, thereby fostering a globally interoperable metering ecosystem. It defines 21 essential use cases, ensuring that devices adhere to the minimum functional expectations while allowing for future enhancements. We're excited to have had our DLMS UA President, Sergio Lazzarotto, participate in the engaging discussions this week at the Edison Electric Institute Fall 2024 Transmission, Distribution, Metering & Mutual Assistance Conference. His presentation on "Enabling Smart Meter Diversity and Unlocking Edge Data Sharing" was well received and sparked tremendous interest in further deploying DLMS in the US market.
