💡 As we wrap up here at the #BigDigitalMeetUp in Turin, here are some insights that jumped out at us over two days of shaping the digital future of public service media: • Cater to the feelings and aspirations of our audiences. Emotions are still the main drivers of great content • The generations are different but also similar • Make sure we're in the right place at the right time with our content – and that audiences attribute it to public service media • We can (still) do a lot with a little, especially with social media • Use our strong brands for big campaigns – that’s how to convince the bosses • It’s important for our brands to be visible and prominent in such a crowded landscape • AI can be scary but it can also help enhance our content and our stories • Gaming and gamified experiences really resonate with younger audiences • Engage with colleagues and bring them into the experience with you • An entire organisation can work towards bringing an idea to life if we convince people of the impact #PublicServiceMedia #PrixItalia

🇬🇧 As a long standing tradition, Prix Italia is pleased to present the BBC Lecture which will be held in Turin on next October 3rd with the title: Everything Must Change / Bisogna che tutto cambi. The speech will be given by Dame Elan Closs Stephens, Professor Emerita in Communications and Creative Industries at Aberystwyth University in Wales. She will explore the challenges facing our public service broadcasters and ask: are they prepared to change enough to thrive? Or merely enough to survive? Presented by Emelie de Jong, it will be a highly formative event for everyone working in the media and for the general public as well, so not to be missed! Entrance is free, subject to seat availability.

📢Poland is making strides in implementing the European Media Freedom Act Learn about the steps Poland plans to take 👉 https://ow.ly/7S1f50TC3eG Our Richard Burnley said: “When the #EMFA was approved by EU officials at the end of last year, some Member States needed to align national laws with the new text. The Polish government’s process has shown us a blueprint for an inclusive and transparent approach. The EBU stands ready to support other countries and EBU Members in implementing this vital legislation to safeguard and strengthen public service media.”

🚀 Day 2 of our Sports Assembly opened with a fascinating discussion on fueling the growth of women’s sport 💥 Key insights: 👀 For public service media, an authentic, athlete-first approach to content creation can unlock powerful new opportunities, connecting sport to wider cultural conversations. 🌍 Women athletes are more than players – they’re cultural icons, blending sport across areas such as activism, philanthropy, fashion, & entertainment. 🏆 From the WNBA’s 'Caitlin Clark effect' to sprinters owning their pre-race mindset, women athletes are the key to driving change, energizing fans & captivating new women's sport audiences. With thanks to jo taylor, Culture, Creativity Consultant, Andrew Ryan, Managing Director at FIBA Media & our Women's Sport Lead Elsa Arapi 🤝 #PublicServiceMedia #WomensSport #Sport #WomenInSport
