🌍💜 On this International Women’s Day, EMDR Europe highlights an inspiring initiative taking place in France. The NGO Mots et Maux de Femmes (MMF) actively fights violence against women and girls through concrete, innovative, and systemic actions. Recognized by UN Women, the European Parliament, and the French government, MMF mobilizes a network of over 1,500 influential sponsors to take action on all fronts: prevention, support, advocacy, and victim rehabilitation. MMF provides support to all French women and girls around the world, including expatriates and bi-nationals facing violence or abuse. Among the solutions they recommend is EMDR therapy. EMDR Europe is currently working to establish a collaboration between MMF and the global EMDR community, alongside the EMDR Global Alliance and EMDR France Association. 🎭 Their next project? Lviv, Ukraine, January 2025 : 2nd part of the EMDR Europe accredited standard training organized at the request of the WHO office in Ukraine. 50 Ukrainian psychologists and psychiatrists from all over the country gathered to learn EMDR therapy with Eva Zimmermann, EMDR Europe accredited trainer, and a team of facilitators from Ukraine. Great working atmosphere with our colleagues in a country that will need support in trauma therapy and mental health education for many years.
