🎉Today we celebrate a significant milestone in ES VICIS' history! We've reached eight years of dedication, commitment, and major achievements in our mission to transform lives and improve our planet's health by supporting the development of rural communities and, simultaneously, reducing urban population through the relocation of urban families to small communities. During this time, we've worked tirelessly and advocated to reverse the migration trend to cities. We're clearly swimming against the current. However, we're also seeing more and more people waking up to the question: Why do we have to live in overcrowded cities that are inhospitable and harmful to our environment? We want to express our deep gratitude to all who have been part of this journey: our collaborators, allies, volunteers, beneficiaries, and supporters. Their unwavering support has been essential for every achievement and positive impact we've achieved together. Every step taken has been made possible by their trust, solidarity, and commitment. We extend our thanks to everyone who has accompanied us on this exciting journey, and we look forward to continuing to count on your support in the coming years. Together, we will continue to make a positive impact and leave a lasting impression on the lives of those who need it most. 💫✨Happy eighth birthday, ES VICIS! #Celebrating8Years #ESVICISFoundation #CommunityUnity #Grateful #TogetherWeBuildTheFuture #AnniversaryJoy #ESVICISImpact #NeoRuralization #ESVICIS #EVF #bethechange #WelcomeToMyVillage #anniversary

Bridging Urban and Rural Divides: A Vision for People and Planet
Info
Our Mission: Reshaping Urban-Rural Dynamics Globally Why? Metropolitan areas are a major contributor to climate change due to their extensive land use, resource depletion, and pollution concentration. Urbanized areas, despite covering a small portion of the Earth's surface, account for a significant portion of global atmospheric pollution. Cities are responsible for a substantial share (75%) of global CO2 emissions, with transportation and buildings being major contributors, generate 70% of the waste, and emit 60% of greenhouse gases. Before pandemics, the United Nations estimated that six million people worldwide emigrated to cities in search of a better future each month. This influx of population to urban areas is unprecedented in human history. The result is poverty, marginalization, and chaotic urban growth. Urgent focus is needed on changing urban-rural relationships due to the pandemic, climate change, and conflicts, leading to increased human insecurities. This demands a new urban development approach based on the revival of towns and settlements, complementing efforts to mitigate urbanization and bridge urban-rural divides. Current urban paradigms no longer suffice, and a fresh perspective is needed, guided by the principles of social quality theory and its emphasis on societal dimensions. Who we are: ES VICIS Foundation is a non profit organization based in Switzerland driving positive change by bridging the gap between rural and urban areas and promoting sustainable development. Through our multiple-stakeholder program Welcome to My Village, we aim to create a future where rural communities thrive, entrepreneurship flourishes, and local resources are maximized, fostering urban-families relocation. Absolutely inspired by Helen Clark's impactful speech at the Women Davos Agenda. She is a New Zealand politician who served as the Prime Minister of her country from 1999 to 2008 and later as the administrator of the United Nations Development Programme from 2009 to 2017. She passionately encouraged the audience: "If you aspire to reshape women's rights in society, engage in politics." May countless women, inspired by her leadership, take that crucial step forward. #WomenLeadership #Inspiration #ChangeMakers #Davos #WEF #WEF2024 #EqualityMoonshot 💪🌟🌍

I'm thrilled to share my vision at the WORLD WOMAN DAVOS AGENDA to drive big ideas and turn equality into reality! As the founder and managing director of ES VICIS Foundation, I'm dedicated to bridging the urban-rural gap through a dynamic supply and demand model. Our pioneering approach to neo-ruralization focuses on empowering entrepreneurs, women, youth, and immigrants in rural settings. In other words, we're committed to fostering a sustainable, enduring migration from urban to rural communities and enabling local inhabitants to thrive in their villages; a vision that strongly resonates with the WEF's "Rebuilding Trust in the Future 2024" focus. We believe that genuine trust is built within united communities, in stark contrast to the prevalent anonymity in our overpopulated urban centers. Are you ready for a new, bold, brave world: a sustainable planet, a prosperous economy, and a healthier future for women and girls? Join the World Woman Davos Agenda on January 18 at Hard Rock Davos. There will be amazing speakers, and I'm thrilled and grateful to participate as a delegate. Thanks #WorldWomanFund for the invitation and the amazing organization among participants! Excited to exchange ideas and connect with all of you at the event! Let's advance the #EqualityMoonshot! #EqualityMoonshot #WEF #WEF2024 #WorldEconomicForum #WorldWomanFund #WorldWoman #RebuildingTrustInTheFuture 💫🌍🚀 💫🌟 🚀

🌍 On World Migrants Day… Let's also talk about Internal Migration 🚀 Because migration is not limited to individuals seeking refuge or crossing borders. It encompasses all who move, regardless of the reason. In fact, the larger population migrates within borders. According to the International Organization for Migration, the number of internal migrants in 2009 reached 740 million, contrasting with 221 million individuals involved in international migration in 2010. 🌱 ES VICIS concentrates its efforts on 🏡 tackling Internal Migration. Specifically focusing on the displacement of rural communities to nearby cities, our program 'Welcome To My Village' aims to promote their revitalization. By directing our attention to this issue, our goal is to provide sustainable solutions that not only benefit these communities but also contribute to addressing broader challenges of urban areas. 💪 #InternationalMigrantsDay #InternalMigration #MigrantDay #ESVICISFoundation #NeoRuralization #ESVICIS #EVF #bethechange #WelcomeToMyVillage

Empowering women entrepreneurs and fostering regional connections are key pillars of our program. Last week, in Santa Fe, Argentina, we visited 5 small villages—Murphy, Maggiolo, San Eduardo, Carmen, and Labordeboy—bringing top-notch education. By supporting entrepreneurial growth, we're driving local economic advancement. By supporting this program, you are helping to develop our project “Welcome to my Village” enabling young people to remain in their villages instead of migrate to urban cities and to the successful relocation in the villages of disadvantaged urban families with children that seek a better future. 🏡👨👩👧👦 To know more about our program, please visit www.esvicis.org 🌐📚 💡📈 #Entrepreneurship #WomenEmpowerment #Education #RegionalGrowt #GivingTuesday #GivingTuesdayCH #ESVICIS #EVF #bethechange #Neouralization
