Congratulations! María Parajeles Herrera and @Katharina Kaiser won the Top 7 and Best Presentation Award at the SEST 2024 conference. -- The presentations of the papers titled “Spatio-Temporal Modeling of Large-Scale BEV Fleets' Charging Energy Needs and Flexibility” (María Parajeles Herrera, Marius Schwarz, and Gabriela Hug-Glanzmann Hug) and “Dynamic Grid Tariffs for Power Peak Reduction Using Reinforcement Learning” (Katharina Kaiser and Gabriela Hug) won the Top 7 and Best Presentation Award at the 2024 International Conference on Smart Energy Systems and Technologies (SEST).

On 17 September, D-ITET welcomed a new cohort of MSc Quantum Engineering students. After a welcome event introducing them to the programme, they attended John Preskill's Pauli lecture on “Quantum Computing and the Entanglement Frontier”. At the Open House Day of the Center for Project-Based Learning D-ITET (PBL) on 24 September, the "Best BSc Thesis Award" was granted to three outstanding Bachelor’s students at D-ITET. Prof. Lana Josipović received, together with collaborators from AMD and EPFL, the Michal Servit Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Field-Programmable Logic and Applications (FPL'24). The paper is titled "DynaRapid: Fast-Tracking from C to Routed Circuits".
