European Outdoor Group (EOG)
Herstellung von Sportartikeln
Founded in 2003, the European Outdoor Group is the trade organisation for the outdoor industry.
Info
Building outdoor industry co-operation throughout Europe The European Outdoor Group is an association that exists to represent the common interests of the European outdoor industry. The EOG was founded in 2003 by 19 of the world’s largest outdoor companies, who recognised the need for a cohesive, cross border approach to representation of the outdoor sector. In a world of increasing internationalism, legislation, environment, the media and trade are all now multinational by nature. The combined strength of our members, and a close cooperation with national outdoor associations, provides us with an extremely powerful force to represent the European outdoor industry in a constructive and positive manner. The EOG strongly believes that increased participation in outdoor sports will benefit both individuals and society as a whole. We share a vision with many others in our industry, to encourage people of all ages and in all locations to be active outdoors.

OutDoor webinar - update on the new concept Thursday 14 November, 13:00-14:00 CET Alongside Messe Muenchen, we recently unveiled full details of the final concept for OutDoor in 2025. This followed extensive consultation with brands, retailers and other partners over several months. Feedback on the concept has so far been very positive, but we're keen to give colleagues around Europe more opportunities to learn more about how the show will work and the different ways to get involved and shape its success. With that in mind, we will host a webinar next month to provide a more detailed update on plans for OutDoor in 2025, and the numerous options for participating. Speakers at the session will be Tobias Gröber from Messe Munich, and Mark Held and Scott Nelson on behalf of the EOG. All three will be available to answer any questions that you have about the show. You can register to join the webinar at https://lnkd.in/eGP3yTDN. #outdoors #outdoorindustry #OutDoor2025 #events #collaboration

We echo all of this. It's been a thoroughly thought provoking, engrossing and enjoyable two days, in a wonderful location. #EOS2024
And that's a wrap. Thanks (and well done) to Yasmin Dufournet and Keme Nzerem for guiding everyone through a very busy and varied agenda. We covered a lot of ground together. Thanks also to the European Outdoor Group (EOG) and Media Contact Services (MCS) for doing the heavy lifting in organising the summit, to our host association Outdoor Industries Association (OIA) and amazing venue The Cambridge Union, to each and every speaker, and to all of the sponsors and partners who make it possible to put on the event. Last, but by no means least, we're grateful to the outdoor industry leaders from around Europe who joined us for the two days and were so engaged in the programme that we presented. Watch this space for news of what comes next for the European Outdoor Summit platform! #EOS2024 #outdoors #outdoorindustry #collaboration

It's been a great first day at the 2024 European Outdoor Summit (EOS). We look forward to more excellent content tomorrow! #EOS2024
We've worked through a very busy agenda today and it was great that our delegates stayed so engaged throughout. We rounded off with Nina Hajikhanian of Patagonia and Dani Jordan of Surfers Against Sewage, who reminded us of the importance and power of bold collaboration, which echoed a constant theme of this summit. And to continue the conversation, everyone has now moved on to our networking dinner. We will resume tomorrow! #EOS2024 #outdoors #outdoorindustry #collaboration

One of the association's core areas of work is our market insights programme. During European Outdoor Summit (EOS), we took the opportunity to provide an update on the Outdoor Market Intelligence Service (OMIS) project. Richard Payne of our insights and data partner Sporting Insights explained how OMIS works and reported on its successful introduction to the UK, supported by the Outdoor Industries Association (OIA). We're now rolling it out in France with Outdoor Sports Valley - OSV, and in the DACH region with OUTTRA. Find out more about that at https://lnkd.in/eEYfZeVN. #EOS2024 #data #marketinsights

Through the European Outdoor Summit (EOS), we have always aimed to facilitate, and indeed provoke, lively debate and discussion. At every summit, we include plenty of networking opportunities for delegates, and this year's agenda and amazing venue appear to be inspiring everyone. There's already a sustained buzz in The Cambridge Union Debating Chamber between sessions. #EOS2024

The first day of this year's summit is underway. After early running, coffee, networking and meditation, delegates have gathered in The Cambridge Union Debating Chamber to explore the big issues that are facing the outdoor industry. Scott Nelson of the European Outdoor Group (EOG) opened the event with Andrew Denton of national host the Outdoor Industries Association (OIA), and Lindsay Hooper of the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership has welcomed everyone to the city and urged our sector to use all of its influence to build a greener, more sustainable economy. #EOS2024
