Did you know, bladder cancer usually takes a long time to develop, that’s why it’s most common in older people. In fact, almost 60% of new cases are in people aged 75 or over. No matter how old you are, make sure you know the signs and symptoms of bladder cancer, like blood in your pee and peeing often, to support an early diagnosis. At Ferring, we are committed to reducing unmet needs and changing the trajectory of bladder cancer. #BladderCancerAwareness #BladderCancer #UroOncology

Often prostate cancer does not cause any symptoms until the cancer has grown large enough to put pressure on the urethra (the tube through which pee leaves the body). That’s why some of the initial symptoms people may notice include: - Peeing more frequently and/or urgently - Difficulty starting to pee - Taking a long time while peeing - Blood in your pee or semen At Ferring we are committed to addressing the unmet needs in prostate cancer to help people live better lives through our work in uro-oncology. #ProstateCancer #UroOncology

Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men. While some risk factors, like age and ethnicity, can’t be controlled, maintaining a healthy weight may reduce your risk. #ProstateCancer #UroOncology
-
With bladder cancer being the 9th most common cancer worldwide, it’s vital to learn the symptoms to support early detection for better outcomes. Keep an eye out for: - Blood in your pee - An urgent or sudden need to pee - Repeated bladder infections We remain as passionate as ever about improving the lives of people living with bladder cancer through our work in uro-oncology. #BladderCancerAwareness #BladderCancer #UroOncology

Thank you to everyone who came to our booth at #ESHRE2024 and shared their thoughts on how we can make reproductive medicine more diverse, equitable and inclusive, as well as improve the patient journey. There were some pertinent themes that came through including increasing access to and affordability of fertility treatment, and raising awareness of alternative paths to parenthood. Many delegates also emphasised the need for further support, education, and empathy, including within the workplace. If you didn’t have the chance to contribute to the booth, we’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. This month marks the second anniversary of our global support package for all our employees who want to build a family, no matter who they are, where they live, or who they love. Building Families at Ferring is designed to reduce barriers to becoming parents by offering financial support to employees, 26 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing and non-birthing parents, and increased awareness and support at work. Over the past two years, 468 colleagues have benefited from 26 weeks of paid parental leave and 164 colleagues have received financial support to build their families. We remain dedicated to being a leading family-friendly workplace and continue to encourage employers to support employees on their family building journeys. #FamilyBuilding #FertilityBenefits #Fertility #BuildingFamiliesAtFerring

A recent report by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) states that improving sexual and reproductive health and rights in the workplace, not only boosts business performance, but also advances crucial sustainability goals on human rights, gender equality and employee well-being. Ultimately, this drives progress towards a just and equitable society. We are proud to have been recognised by the UNFPA in this report for our work in fostering a culture of inclusivity and empowerment through our Building Families at Ferring initiative. This highlights our commitment to creating a ‘fertility and family friendly’ workplace, that includes a minimum of 26 weeks of equal paid parental leave for both birthing and non-birthing parents.
